Goree House Bulk Food program (Grocery Week)
We save neighbors time and money by pooling resources to deliver common groceries:
Urban Farming
We want to be in contact with you so we can all get our hands dirty in the soil this growing season. https://forms.gle/wARuMHHuR3bmTpN26
Greenhouse and Urban Farm extension. Using hydroponics and modular construction we plan to extend the porch into a greenhouse that produces a fair portion of fresh vegetation, but more importantly exposes community members to the future potential of gardening in cities. This space is used to create a small urban garden and explore the creation of the multi-floor greenhouse expansion of the house.
Job Training and Placement
With all the resources available in the City of Cambridge and the state of Massachusetts, Citizens should not be without access to the economy. Through our partnerships with various nonprofit organizations, businesses and the City resources, we make sure that families in the community are able to find adequate means to live a sustainable life.
Education Guidance
Planning the transition from high school to a career needs to start early, and can be a daunting task. Moreover, instilling the mindset of going beyond and seeing yourself in those advanced roles takes mentor-ship and community attention. Through our partnerships with Qualls Academy, Fletcher Maynard Academy, and neighborhood organizations, we make sure that families in the community do not have to try to tackle this process alone.

Maker and Fabrication space
There are carpentry and other power tools in the open area on this floor already. The goal for this space is a simple maker area for light woodworking, hand tool use, sewing, vinyl work, and 3D printing. There will be additional space for groups meeting in the building.
